24th Annual General Meeting of JPPS

Mumbai Oct-26 : The 24th Annual General Meeting of Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti (N.G.O.), (JPPS) was held at Hotel Peninsula Grand, Sakinaka, Mumbai.

The meeting was held in the presence of the founder Thonse Jayakrishna A Shetty and presided over by President L. V. Amin.

Hon. General Secretary Mundkur Surendra Salian presented the annual report. Hon.Treasurer Tulsidas Amin presented the audited Accounts. The members present in the meeting approved the Annual Report and Accounts.

On this occasion, the founder Thonse Jayakrishna Shetty announced the name of Nithyanand D Kotian for the post of President of Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti for the period 2024-2027.

Renowned organizer, social worker Nithyanand D Kotian who was elected as the new president was felicitated by L V Amin, who is the current president, with a bouquet of flowers.

Nithyanand D Kotian has been active in the Samiti since its inception, serving as Secretary, Vice President and now holds the title of President.

People-leader Nithyanand D Kotian, was a close associate of Jaya Suvarna, worked for the unity and prosperity of Billawa community in various roles and served as the President of Billawar Association Mumbai, a strong organization of Billawas.

Nithyanand  D Kotian, who has involved himself in various organizations, has also served as the President of Goregaon Karnataka Sangh, a prestigious organization of Mumbai Kannadigas.

He served as a top level executive in one of the best co-operative bank of the country – Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Ltd., retired as General Manager and is currently a member in the Board of Management of the Bank. He is active in religious and social organizations in Mumbai and the town, has vast experience in social service and was elected as the president of JPPS.

Devadiga, Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty, Ramachandra Ganiga, Uttam Shettigar, Srinivasa Saphalya, Chitrapu K.M. Kotian, Rakesh Bhandari, C S Ganesh S. Shetty Santhosh Rai Bellippady,Ramachandra Ganiga,Utham Shettigar, Surendra Kumar Hegde and others were present.

Hon. Secretary Devdas Kulal delivered the vote of thanks. On this occasion, the drive for the 25th year silver festival of the committee was inaugurated by lighting 25 lamps in the presence of the members of the Samiti. 

JPPS’s new president Nithyananda Kotian’s path to success:

Nithyanand Kotian, the new president of the JKPPS, is on the path to success.

Nithyanand Kotian came to Mumbai with a dream of a new life in 1974 after completing his PUC education at MGM College in Karnataka. Later, he completed his B.Com degree from Bandra College, Mumbai, and Diploma in Industrial Resources and Personnel Management from Bhavan’s College, Andheri. He was active in the Kannada Association of the college and exhibited his artistic talent by participating in the drama festival organized by the Kannada Kala Kendra. Sadananda Suvarna, Surendra Mendon, KVR Aital, S. With S Ganesh, M D Nayar, they staged several plays. Nithyananda Kotian, who was actively participating in the activities of the Goregaon Karnataka Sangh since 1980, became an active member of the Silver Jubilee Committee of the Sangh in 1983. From 1984 to 1997, he worked in the association as Honorary General Secretary for two years, Honorary General Treasurer for four years and as a member of the Executive Committee.

Again in 2019, he was elected to the executive committee of the Goregaon Karnataka Association and served as the president for three years and is now a member of the executive committee and the building reconstruction committee of the association being an active member.

Billawar Association, Mumbai:

Kotian has served with this organization for two years as Joint Treasurer, 16 years as Honorary General Secretary, 5 years as Vice President and 4 years as President.

Thonse Brahma Baidarkala Panch Dhoomavathi Garodi Seva Trust Mumbai:

Initially it was the Mumbai Sub-Committee from 2009 to 2018. Nithyananda Kotian was its president. Now this trust is registered in Mumbai from 2018 and from 2018 Kotian himself is its chairman till 2027.

Deyibaideti Koti Chennaya Moolasthana Kshetradalita Samiti, Gejjegiri – Kotian was the initial Trustee and member of the Executive Committee from 2015 to 2021. Now he has got the opportunity to serve in this shrine as vice president from 2021 to 2024.

Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti, Mumbai:

Kotian, has been continuously active in its committee since its inception in 2000 years, has served as Honorary General Secretary for 12 years, since 2012 as Vice President, and has performed various responsibilities, as the most active worker of the organization.

Nithyanand Kotian, who is a staunch follower of late Jaya C. Suvarna, has been continuously serving in ‘Sahitya Balaga’ since 1992 along with Kannada Sangh, Santacruz and participated in its activities. He served for 9 years in “Shree Nityananda Mahapeetham Kondevur, Uppal” as Honorary Secretary of the Mumbai Committee. He has successfully performed as the Chief Coordinator of ‘Suvarna Karnataka Utsav’ Mumbai, organized by the Karnataka Government and as the Managing Editor of Akshaya Magazine published by Billawar Association, Mumbai for 20 years. He worked as an organizer in various socio-cultural programs. Since 1974, he has had the opportunity to be involved in one or the other kind of social programs in Mumbai ‘Karmabhumi’ for 50 years now. He expressed his gratitude towards Tulu-Kannadiga public for their cooperation and support his success.
